Picture this:
You’re passing an
alley where you see
a teenage girl
putting a shoebox
into a dumpster…only
this is no ordinary
shoebox. You
distinctly hear the
cries of a newborn
infant coming from
it. What would you
do?
Would you:
A)
Try to ignore what
you see and keep
walking.
B)
Think to yourself,
“That child
obviously isn’t
wanted, so why
bother to
intervene?”
C)
Step in and do all
that you can to save
the life of that
child and to
convince the mother
that what she is
doing is wrong.
The
simple test above is
not only meant to
unveil what you
would be willing to
do for a born
child, but to show
you the level of
commitment you
should consider
giving unborn
children as well.
Humans have equal
worth no matter what
stage of development
they are in. In
order to be
consistent, if you
would be willing to
try to save the life
of the newborn
human, you should
also be willing to
do what you can to
save the unborn
human as well.
The facts about
abortion are often
times unknown. The
media covers it up,
Planned Parenthood
covers it up, many
politicians cover it
up, public schools
cover it up and on
and on the list
goes. It’s time to
uncover the facts.
Of all of the
miseries in America,
abortion is among
the worst. It
touches all of us in
one way or another,
whether we realize
it or not.
According to the
Alan Guttmacher Institute (the research arm of Planned Parenthood):
-
49%
of pregnancies among
American women are
unintended; and half
of these end in
abortion.
-
48%
of women who abort
will have more than
one abortion.
-
Abortion takes the
life of one out of
every four unborn
children.
This
leaves mothers and
fathers, brothers
and sisters, aunts
and uncles, grandmas
and grandpas, and
ultimately society,
in its wake.
Abortion is an
epidemic of vast
proportions. It has
turned our culture
from what should
be a culture of
life, into one that
embraces death and
calls painfully
killing our innocent
unborn, our own
flesh and blood, a
“right.” A “choice.”
“Reproductive
freedom.” Call it
what you will, the
act remains the
same. As Abraham
Lincoln once said,
“How many legs does
a dog have if you
call the tail a leg?
Four. Calling a tail
a leg doesn't make
it a leg.”
Still
need motivation? For
those of you who are
Christians, it is
important to realize
that not only were
you saved, but that
you were saved unto
good works.
As it says in
Ephesians 2:10, “For
we are His
workmanship, created
in Christ Jesus for
good works, which
God prepared
beforehand that we
should walk in
them.”

"My
heart got callous to
the fact that I was
a murderer, but that
baby lying in a cold
bowl educated me as
to what abortion
really was."
